Okay folks - it's really happening!

I moved out of my apartment this weekend. I didn't have much to move this time as it seems that I own less and less "stuff" as I have gotten older. Shouldn't it be the opposite, eh!?

I have also started saying my good-byes and am having some final beers with friends. I have gotten the shots, taken the meds, confirmed itineraries, paid the bills, packed the pack and now I just need to get on the plane.

It is really starting to feel as though this next chapter of my life is about to begin. It is exciting and I am looking forward to this much anticipated change. It is time to put the pack on my back and enjoy the journey. I am sooooo ready for this.

Two weeks and I'm there

I am creating this blog so that those who actually care about my adventures can follow along. I hope that I can keep it up while I'm away!

In the past year I have gone on a couple of trips to different parts of the world and the travel bug has officially taken over me. It has consumed my mind since I went on my first trip outside of North America last summer. I sit at my desk and daydream of new adventures. So - now I am doing something about it.

I went to Costa Rica in June and knew that I wanted to come back for more. The country is beautiful but it was really the people that I was drawn to. Everyone was so welcoming, friendly and helpful. So, the plan is to travel around Central America for three months. I fly in San Jose, Costa Rica and will venture around there for awhile and see where it leads me. I may only visit a couple of countries or I will see it all. Who knows! But, I do have a flight home on Dec 18.
